Review: Sultra Sophisticate Power Dryer
Ladies meet the Sophisticate by Sultra…
…Sophisticate, meet the ladies.
I was recently given the opportunity to do a review on the Sophisticate Power Dryer by Sultra, and I could not resist this hot dryer and decided to share my experience with you girls. I don’t know about you but anytime I first get a new hair product like a hair dryer or curling iron it takes a few times before I actually get comfortable with using it. It took one time, the first time, to be totally comfortable with the Sophisticate.
The top reasons why I loved this dryer:
1. It has 3 specific temperature settings based on the type of hair you have, fine, normal, and thick.
2. Super long no tangle cord (hello 9 feet!).
3. Two different air speeds.
4. Heavy duty durable design (for all the drops and falls it will encounter, I know it will not get hurt).
5. It cut my drying time in half with using lower heat.
The specifics on the internals:
1. The dryer features a pretty exclusive ionic generator that produces 100% negative ions, these ions cause water molecules to break into smaller particles so your hair will dry faster but also penetrates the hair shaft to restore the moisture within (well that explains my number 5 above).
2. It also houses a ceramic infrared generator that gives off high amounts of infrared rays to help the hair heal and seal the cuticle while your drying. This produces shinier and smoother hair in the end.
3. It’s energy efficient!!

Oh my, this hair dryer sounds lovely! I like that it’s black too.
Yea I feel like I had a professional blow-out every time I do my hair now hahahaha
Great review, Heather! I need a new blowdryer, but I can’t decide how expensive I should go!
Yea I was skeptical too till I got to try this one, now I’m in love and will probably never need a new one.
Gah! I desperately want a high-end blow dryer, but $250 is more than I’m willing to pay. What do you think is the best hair dryer under $100?
For years I’ve opted for a brands travel versions, you’re still getting a quality product but for half the cost, and hell it’s portable! Gotta love that. haha Sultra’s version retails for $99. I’ve seen a lot of hype recently over the T3 brand, their travel retails for $130. Hope this helped!!
