My Mascara Transition

This is a little thing I noticed I do with mascara.  I may be alone here but I HATE brand spanking new mascara.  I just dislike using it when it’s brand new and really wet.  I like mascara after like 2-3 weeks of using it, after the air has hit it a little and the wand gets a little product dried onto it.

Old vs. New

But just in case I’m not alone on this one, I’ve decided to tell you my tip on how I get past new wet mascara.  I do what I like to call “the transition”.  I start by taking my old mascara and wiggling it into the roots of my lashes (this may take a couple passes), then I take the new mascara and finish by applying it to the ends of my lashes.  I’ve noticed the older mascara will spread and separate your lashes so the newer wet mascara won’t clump them together.  In case the new mascara does clump your lashes together take the wand to the older one and run it through your lashes to de-clump them.  As my older one becomes even more dried out and ready to hit the trash, my new one is ready to be used by itself.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend.

xoxo Heather
